Churches aren't a regular feature on Wyrd Words & Effigies...(except for when they feature ghosts in the pews) but I simply had to post this astonishing art installation of Lucifer by artist Paul Fryer. The surreal spectacle you see here was mounted in The Holy Trinity Church in London.

I'm quite enamored by the work of monster maker D.L Marian and think that the top sculpture looks scarily like myself, though her dress is way cooler than anything I have in my wardrobe.

I smiled to myself when I heard the news that the phenomenal Cyclic Law Records had established a new publishing division. Cylic Press opened up the company with a publication from Austrian artist Krist Mort. The publication entitled 'Inlumaeh' features 90 pages of photography and an exclusive CD from Russian project Lamia Vox.
I am an enormous fan of the work of Alison Scarpulla. Her images are timeless, haunting and at times veer into the fantastical.
