Australia has unleashed some exquisite black metal over the years, including Moon, a staggeringly good one man band from Brisbane. At the moment I'm infatuated with the project's debut demo - also entitled Moon - which was released back in 2008.
Starting the week off with some black metal from a seriously promising project - Addaura from Seattle. The track you're about to hear is taken from their 2015 EP And The Lamps Expire. The variety in this piece of music is simply astounding. Enjoy.

I needed a powerful strike of epic black metal, so turned to US based black metal project Utstøtt (which means outcast in Norwegian) and their debut album Hjørungavågr. With influences ranging from Windir to Dissection, the music of Utstøtt is diverse and revitalizing.

Elves Caught Me In The Wind is the title of the 2013 album from Ents, an atmospheric black metal project from the Russian Federation. I don't know much about this band...except for the fact that the music they create deserves your time and undivided attention.
