Today’s offering from Cave Mouth is about the legend of the Barghest. If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know I have quite the enthusiasm for this folkloric creature. It’s one the most terrifying things to hail from my home county of Yorkshire, after all. (If you’re interested, there’s an Art of the Barghest post here.)

The image sets the mood. And that’s only the beginning. Your knowledge of folklore is marvelous. I’m learning so much. This beast with burning eyes must indeed be terrifying. You’ve created through the words and music a textured setting in which the creature thrives. The Barghest on the move.
