There is a little part of me that believes trolls exist in Scandinavia. The same part that believes there is a Loch Ness Monster in Scotland and legions of Sasquatch in North America and elsewhere in the world.
I’ve watched countless documentaries about all three cryptids…(The Bigfoot Files has to be one of the best) where actual scientists from proper universities and such have come in to help try and prove, one way or another, if they exist or not.
In all cases I’ve seen, the myths have been debunked, but still, still there’s a part of me which believes…much like those Bigfoot/Troll/Loch Ness devotees who, despite having their dreams dissected and smeared all over the walls, still have faith.

I would very much LOVE to believe that this image of a Norwegian Mountain Troll is real. Apparently captured by the crew of an RAF recon flight 300 miles away from Bergen in 1942 it has miles of internet dedicated to the unraveling of the mystery.
Many folk, unsurprisingly, link it to (one of the best films to come out of Scandinavia) Troll Hunter, claiming someone lifted the image from there. If you know anything about this photo, let me know in the comments…I’m probably way to into trolls for a a going on 31 year old, but the field in which I grow my fucks is barren.
I have recently researched the origin of the photograph and it is riddled with scepticism but recently I found out that around that time German forces had established themselves in Bergen and after heavy naval and air-to-air combat (in which Bergen was bombed numerous times).
I think that during the British fighting in Bergen, they sent out that recon flight to scout for German airfields, and convoys (so we would like to think). But I think that part of what they were doing there in Bergen 300 miles from the city, they weren’t scouting out for signs of German forces but they were scouting out for signs of trolls.
This would not be unlikely as during the military activity in the area they might have attracted the attention of a troll (if that was what they intended on doing) and possibly sought to neutralise the threat that it held to their forces on the ground who might have been operating in the region.
It is also possible that when Hitler ordered his forces out of Norway it wasn’t due to the Brits but due to the activity of trolls in the region disrupting their military campaign and operations, and that when he employed his scorched Earth tactic it was just a cover for trying to take some of the trolls down in the area.
Honestly, at the end of the day, we will never truly know what happened there, but i hope the light of some of these troll-related events will come to light.
Thank you for reading.

“Debunked”
It’s supposedly taken from an aircraft in Norway way back in like the 30’s-50’s. I forget the specifics.
