100 Days Of Blogging #32 – A Gathering Of Dark Art

I let myself do something I haven’t done in a LONG time tonight; I went on Pinterest and wandered for a while, collecting darkly inspired art as I went. Before doing so, I thought about the considerable length of time that’s gone by since I engraved this blog with dark art from other creatives.

Sharing dark art was one of the primary reasons WW&E was established, but as life has shifted shape, so has this blog, and it’s become a space where I predominantly share what’s going on in my life and the work I’m creating.

Most people are led here by way of the dark arts, and I wonder if it’s something of a letdown to some to see the direction this blog has taken.

I enjoyed harvesting art this evening. I felt moved, peaceful, inspired. I need to carve out space regularly to let myself wander and gather and get lost because getting lost in the dark is, as I’ve been reminded, an experience that enchants and enriches me in ways little else can.

  1. I feel like I’ve seen the Tymoshenko one before…it’s an interesting “what’s happening here?” image. Most will probably see bestiality but maybe he (she?) is just rescuing her from the frosts of winter. The Crisafi is nice too.
