I’m collaborating with my Cave Mouth bandmate and sister shaman Meghan Wood on my forthcoming spoken word album and have made a little teaser video for the poem ‘Roadkill.’ If you have a spare four and a bit minutes, please do give it a listen. Hope you enjoy it!
My name is Katie Metcalfe and I’m an English author, blogger, poet and songwriter. I have a northern fever and tend to be a bit too wyrd for most people.

It’s good, it’s visceral. The turn, the release from believing that that skin and fur are all that count, is stark and compelling. All I know of the badger is “legendary,” so I appreciate your descriptor there. The voice is clear and strong, with enunciation that presses upon the hearer in a bell-like way.
I am so, so appreciative of your feedback! 😀 I hope you don’t mind it if I use it as a review on my Facebook page?
