It wasn’t too long ago that Norwegian project Slegest – solo endeavour of Ese, former guitarist for Vreid – was my sound of the day, and here is it again with good reason! One of the best bands to come out of Norway in recent years, Slegest has a blackened doom sound which provides me with just the right amount of ‘kick’ to get my week started. The Path Of No Return is taken from the 2013 full-length Loyndom.
