There are two songs by Roky Erickson  – I walked With A Zombie and Night Of The Vampire – that I hold dear to my heart for reasons I’ll keep close to my heart. So, when YouTube gifted me Chelsea Wolfe’s cover of Night Of The Vampire – and I was well overdue a gift…YouTube’s suggestions recently have been appalling – I pounced on it as fast as a newborn undead does onto its first kill.

And, as expected, it was eerie and gorgeous and, quite probably one of the best things Wolfe has done. Though I’ll let you listen and make up your own mind. Though I’m pretty damn sure you’ll agree with me…
