I am a long-term fan of Rammstein, and believe frontman Till Lindemann is one of the best vocalists and lyricists out there. So, when I discovered, the other night, that he had a side project Lindemann, I was on it like rot latches onto a corpse. I was immediately obsessed with the album he’s released through the project, Skills In Pills, with my favourite song being Home Sweet Home.
I find my inspiration everywhere… and this song about his father’s battle with cancer moves me in ways I struggle to describe. His trademark deep, powerful voice has, at moments, a tenderness which gives me goosebumps.The lyrics enough will haunt me forever. He inspires me to become a better poet.
