I’ve been left wonderfully haunted by this utterly macabre series of photographs. The story behind the images is the death of a convicted murderer who was executed in 1993 and then had his body handed over to science. The body was segmented, and photographed for medical research. Then, in 2011, photography was used to put it back together. Croix Gagnon came up with the concept and photographer Frank Schott captured the shots.You can view the full series here.
