Twenty two. That’s the age of hugely talented Russian artist Anastasia Ilicheva, the woman behind these chilling yet simultaneously enchanting images. Incredible, right?
To create her dark, fantastical worlds, Anastasia uses pencils, ink, watercolor and digital tools. She gathers much of her inspiration from Russian 19th and 20th century artists. My knowledge of Russian art from these eras is non-existent, but looking at Anastasia’s work has encouraged me to change that.
